Season Two
TST Episode 44 - Transforming Our Neighborhood One Family at a Time
If you don’t know who your neighbors are, how can you help them or expect community? Jeremy Cranmer and the Neighborhood Transformation Center create opportunities in their neighborhood. The center uses simple things like family-style dinner nights so that conversations can happen. They connect with youth through fun activities like nerf battles to identify needed support. They encourage and uplift the community by role modeling positive behaviors, opening the lines of communication, and creating activities that develop community cohesion. The Transformation Center is proof that a small team can make a big difference by creating an extended family support network. That network breeds new leaders that have the passion and drive to develop their neighborhood into a thriving interactive community.
